    Default 2TGEU question

Last night as I arrived home, I turned the ignition off on my factory standard 2TGEU and instead of the engine stopping as it usually does the revs increased to about 1500rpm before dying. This morning I found my indicators wouldn't work as the fuse had blown. I know the indicators are a bit dodgy with their wiring, but how is this related to the ECU and the revs?

    Thanks

there must be something wired up into the indicators power supply when you got what what must have been a power surge, which has blown the fuse.

it could be the coil that's wired up to it, but that's not the problem, you need to find the power surge or earth short. it could have come from the alternator.

you need to check your wirings.

Invid, do you have an alarm/immobilzer fitted? AFAIK that would be the only point where engine control and indicators would be linked.

    cheers Chuck.
