    Default jzx100 chaser bad idle

The car is a 1j single turbo vvti chaser... im having issues with very low idle and stalling normally at cold start, if i keep the revs up it runs... i beleive its the idle control valve getting stuck and want to try clean it with carby cleaner... does anyone have a pic or know where its located?what needs to be removed to access it?

    any help is appreciated...

its on the inlet manifold, usually hangs around the rear.. usually has 2 hoses on it for water and one for a breather back into the intake, should only have 2 bolts holding it on that youll need a 12mm spanner for.. its black with gold pipes coming out..

pritty easy to spot.. but sorry dont have pics

    Pandaah's correct.
towards the back of the plenum on the passenger side. get in there close and it does say (should say) on the sticker on it Idle control valve.

yeh mate its real easy.. when i take mine off i unbolt the motor from the housing with the 3 screws (be sure not to loose the little sleeves when the screws come out) and give it a good cleaning..
