    Default t2871r on 1ggte

finally got my ute going, and tuned.

    specs are as follows-
    1ggte in rn85 hilux
    440cc 7m injectors
    6boost high mount manifold
    t2871r .64 rear housing
    3 inch dump pipe
    descent sized front cooler
    microtech lt10
    CAS and coil packs

Now what i want to know is that It made 204rwkw on 18psi. Is this the kind of figure that i should be expecting. I definatly drives better everywhere, and stays on strong till 6700rpm. The dyno graph is also a nice curve I was under the impression upwards of 220rwkw was achievable with this turbo quite easily.

Just curious to what others have made with this setup

.64 housing is letting you down, my old setup was a 2860rs .82 rear, 18psi and made 223rwkw with an autronic, 440cc injectors, 3 inch dump, ported + balanced inlet + deleted TVIS.

    Also cams would help
Also made just over 200kw on 14psi, for reference .

Positive pressure around 2300-2500 full boost by around 3500-3800.

    Gidday

The result for that boost does seem a little low. That turbo seems to deliver an easy 250rwkw on other 2 litre engines - ie sr20s. etc

My 1GGTE, using a much the same turbo, ie a 28 with a .64 turbine delivered 198 rwhw at just over 12 psi.

Other things are similar such as I use a Hks manifold, 440 cc injectors, EF throttle body, EF coils and a microtech. I do have a 3 inch dump and 3 inch cat but also have a seperate dump for the wastegate (Internal) that joins in some 300mm down.

Should I be querying the tuner ? The motor comp tested 170 psi. 18 psi was not achieved till 4k which I suppose is about right for this turbo ?

Remember that different dynos read very differently, and ambient temperature etc also play a large part. 20kw is very little in the scheme of all the variables.
