Just installed some HSD hs-series in my MA70 today, it feels sensational! Nice and firm but not back breakingly hard, great for a street driven car.

    cant wait for mx83 coilovers.

would like to feel the difference between hs and hr.

although im sure even hs will be 100% better than what i have i would still like to have a thrash in the hills now and then.

since getting the shift kit i have sacrificed quite a bit of comfort so maybe ill just go with the hr.

The MX83 stuff is taking a very long time and unfortunately i don't have any updates for you.

As soon as i do, you will be the first to know.

And no the AE86 isn't ready either.

    Hi Grant,
I bought a '95 JZX147 Aristo last year that has had HSD coilovers fitted. It may have been OK for Adelaide roads (where I bought it from) but with 19 inch wheels and on our shocking roads over here in country Vic I'm finding the ride just too harsh. How do I find what the spring ratings are and can I do a changeover to a softer ride?" Look forward to hearing back from you.
    Regards David

    Hi Grant,

Looking to upgrade my non damper adjustable JICs on my MX83 cressy..though new JICs are $2800 landed
Im a fitter/machinist with CNC gear and can adapt my own stuff so i was wondering if you could help me out with some things?

Can you unscrew the 'hub bracket' (for want of a better term) section completely from the strut body on the S14 coilovers? I was thinking i could turn up an adaptor with a thread inside to accept the HSD strut tube and then weld this adaptor to the forged steel bracket on the bottom of MX83/jzx81 struts.

If i order the struts, check them out (no fitting or scratches or anything) and find they wont work with what i want to do with them, can i return them (i pay freight of course) and get a refund?

    Cheers,

Yes,your statement would imply that production has been completed.Do you have an estimate on price? To be honest with you i had stopped holding my breath waiting for these and when my tax check comes in was going elsewhere to buy coilies as i did not think this would happen.Even though a year ago i supplied you with the front and rear shocks to send to HSD to design them from.I was the first person singing praises for these, but have lost faith...

If you are awaiting delivery you must have some idea when to expect them right,,?

I didnt intend to weld or modify the HSD components in any way shape or form...i was just asking if the bottom bracket unscrewed from the strut. Which it does i have since been informed of by a member on ns.com.
So when i have the money i may order some struts for my 's14'.

To save the hastle, can you give us a guesstimate on completion date of the actual MX83 struts?

In actual fact, please dont push HSD to get them out as it will make all the nissan homos jump on the cressida drift bandwagon and i wont be original anymore
