Default 4agze engine conversion - tacho & speed sensor

As some of you may know, im putting an ae101 4agze into a suzuki vitara with the standard vitara gearbox. the vitara has a mechanical speedo and would ideally like to use it. i have bought the dakota tacho adaptor, so will this solve the issue with the ecu going into limp mode as it has no signal from the speed sensor?

if not, what do i need to get or do so it avoids going into limp mode?

gze doesn't have a speed sensor limp mode as far as i know, but the later model 20V 4age's have a rev limit below the factory rev limit if no speed sensor is connected, people will usually get around this by taking the speed sender from the back of there dash cluster and feed that into the ecu.

Though as i said i dont think it will be a problem with the Gze.

    Best of luck.

No there will be a wire... i think its 4 pulse per km or something but there will be a wire that is usually purple with a white stripe (thats on an AUS spec FWD corolla so dont quote me on that) it runs off the speedometer.

Don't stress man i had my speedo disconnected for a month or 2 and saw no difference on a stock ecu, so im pretty sure it doesn't have a speed sensor limp mode. I could be wrong though so perhaps wait for someone who has a bit more experience with the stock ecu. Ive pretty much forgotten a lot about the oem GZE computer since going to a haltech
