Default camry sdv10 power supply issue

my wife's camry is giving me the craps.

there's no power to anything, battery is as new and checked with a meter, nothing wrong with it.

had the prob a few weeks ago and couldn't figure out what the problem was exactly but i messed around with a few things and suddenly the power came back and it ran fine tillnow it's happened again.

the battery clamps are nice and tight. is there a way to check the battery is earth properly?

i guessed it was a relay/fuse but can't find anything wrong with them, well none of the fuses are blown, not sure how to check relays.

the power has occasionally come back but when i try to start the car it goes click then all power is gone again.

so i guess it's being shorted somewhere yeh?

Could be an ignition problem, an immobilser problem if its got one, going to earth somewhere (that would discharge the battery though). wiring is ghey like this you gotta follow the power to where it stops unfortunatley. Its like plumbing & water, it'll take the shortest path so follow the path till it stops and u find the culprit (usually )
Wish I had a F#%ken awesome toyota.. saving for the goodness now.... stay tuned....

Put 1 lead of the multi meter on the ground plug, the other one on the block of the motor and put it in voltage setting, if its voltage drop on the ground wire you'll see 12V or thereabouts on the meter. Last time my camry ground to a hault it was the main 80amp fuse near the battery.
