Default Charity Cruise - 13 May 2006 - Kangaroo Valley

Well, after a brilliant weekend over Easter at the TOYOTA NATIONALS, we are looking forward to hitting the road again for our fav type event….cruising! We are hooking up with the Echo Club’s Cyclone Larry Charity Cruise on 13 May (don’t forget Mothers Day on the 14th!!). Also attending are our mates from the MR2 Club and several other car clubs so this cruise is not limited to the CCG or any specific brand of vehicle…so as per all our events…the more the merrier!

    Details are:
Event: Cyclone Larry Charity Cruise (Run by the Echo Club with many other car clubs attending….so all cars welcome!)
    Date: Saturday 13th May 2006
Destination: Kangaroo Valley and Fitzroy Falls, about 2 hours drive from Canberra.
Donation: $10 per car (all moneys collected will be sent direct to the relief fund)
Meeting: National Museum, Acton, 8:30am sharp, leaving Canberra at 9am.
Things to do: Lunch & sight seeing at Kangaroo Valley.
Things to bring: DEFINITELY CB RADIOS, hat and chair.
    Cheers

Well, there were quite a few of the CCG and MR2 boys that made it out from Canbeyrah! A few more than the sydney guys i think.

I can only speak for the 1st gen crowd, as I didn't get a chance to meet all the MR2 guys/girls and check out their cars. (meh, they all look the same anyways )

We had Mitch there in tweety, with Em coming along shotgun. I think her excuse that the Levin was not well enough for the trip was simply an excuse to get to spend the day with Mitch Colin brought along his 1G-GE RA28, Mark had his neat little '22, Grant had his '22 on show too, and my little red '28 tailing along for the ride

Well, after the usual heckling going on between the 1st Gen and MR2 owners... and everyone checking out Tweety once again, we hit the road like the nice little convoy we were. Personally i was proud... as i only got lost once between the car park and the main road

What happens on the road, stays on the road though... so we'll fast forward to arriving at Kangaroo Valley. We all parked... tooks some photos... then came home again. haha... can you tell i just hit the brick wall of creativity?

Photos... i think Em has some, i'll try to post when i get hold of them.

Hiya River, Timbo and our lil western sis LJ!

Yep we had a ball as usual. All the cars worked hard at times, still behaved and allowed us to just enjoy the cruise and the great company. I was the lucky old bugger with the hottie in the passenger seat who continuiously cracked up at the CB antics of the fellow MR2 cruisers!

Im still chasing pics too. Will get some up here as soon as I can get them....SO...if any of the other clubs can email me a half doz pics, that would be great!
    Cheers

    Ok kiddies! pics have arrived!

    Bright and early!

    The falls...

    ...and the water!

AND THE CARS! I accidentally cropped this pic and didn't save the original. Em has a copy of the original if anyone wants it. But honestly... who want's to see MR2's in the background

    Tweety, Grant and Colin!

Tweety and... and... and a car that desperately needs a name

    The whole crowd!

    Em should be a photographer...

    Hi,

Nice pics. Some fine cars there. I'm looking forward to a BBQ and meet-up with you CCG guys - you seem to enjoy yourselves and have some sweet rides.

Hey, in the 3rd from the bottom pic..... what's that red boxy thing in the background with the scissor doors? Is that an Echo?

Hey River, was great to catch up finally at the Nats! We sometimes get a bit tooo social when we are out....but just like trying to keep up with the TOYMODS party boys!

Yep, it was a really amazing lil Echo show car. Fully sponsored for stereo etc and the custom detail was unbelivable for such a lil car. We had some fun with the Canberra MR2 guys wgo are always brilliant comapny on their showy rides. We only had a small contingent of classiscs but we always rep well.

You have to bring the 28 to the BBQ then!
    Cheers

If I had a 28 I'd bring it. Alas, you'll have to make do with me bringing a 25 instead.

Mitch, shame on you! I do understand you 22 guys can get a little confused at times

By the way River, I appreciate the chat on Friday night at the Nats about the 25 (there's more to them than I knew) and thanks for letting me sit in her!!
