Vacuum / ideling prob 3sgte

Hey everyone.
Having some dramas with the 3sgte in my gt4, heres the story..

LAst september ran her at the drags and ran fine, about a week later took the car out for a drive on the highway and all seemed fine untill i got back into town and pulled up at some traffic lights, car was ideling like crap and i could hear sucking and my boost / vac guage was reading about 17in hgs, usually it runs around 20 in hgs.

so after 6 months of laziness i finally started trouble shooting and along the way found my tvis actuator was shagged and subsequently blocked it off and removed the vsv for that and the turbo and the blue cannister, still no good.

Sprayed degreaser anound the manifold which lead to a pick up in revs and vacuum so the inlet manifold went for machining and the tvis plates where gutted.

Fast forward to now, manifolds back on and not leaking but the car still (acording to my guage and ear) has a vacuum leak, its not sitting at 16in hgs, when you rev the engine it sounds like its running on three cylinders and is running richer than normal and for some reason my engine light stays on but when i try to run diagnostics no code comes up..also it seems to be making more valve train noise than usual but i was putting this down to it not running right.

sorry about the long post but i really need a point in the right direction.

id try sprayin more around the inlet manifold and associated components as it sounds like you still have a vacuum leak, for example around the injector seals, throttle body gasket etc..

would explain the engine light too sometimes they go funny with vacuum leaks like the o2 sensor will log a rich running or lean running etc..

also, for shit and giggles have you checked the condition of the air filter and spark plugs?

is it a gen 2?? id be checking the intake hoses the 1 on the turbo always splits.. give u shit drivability and affect vacuum..

AFM doesnt like extra air.. good luck

Thanks for the replies guys, turns out i had a dodgy fuel injecter connection.
