    Default Identify This Part

Hi guys this came in a box with some stuff for my 4age. Just wondering what it is and where it goes. It is something to do with vacuum but i am not sure what exactly.

Also where does the map sensor get its feed from.

    Thanks
    Ben

I'm not very up with 4age stuff, but at a guess it maybe the AC idle up...

MAP sensor should be connected to the plennum post throttle.

    Cheers

My vote is for AC idle up as well. Looks similar to it. Though the hose connection looks slightly smaller than the one used on my engine. Perhaps it's for a newer 4AGE?

I tend to agree it does look like AC idle up and Talasas you may be right as the guy i bought it off had 4age 16v and 20v parts everywhere so he may have got them mixed up.
Also i still cant find where the map sensor gets its feed from, does anyone have a pic of it that i can use for reference.

    Thanks
    Ben

Yeh it is the AC idle up. If you aren't running AC you don't need it.
If you are go back to the old toymods forums and search through the 4AGE books in the tech articles it will show you in there how to hook it up properly.
    As for the MAP sensor:

The pink circle is where the MAP sensor goes to, and the other fitting on that runs a vac line to your fuel pressure reg. on the fuel rail.
The blue circle is where the AC idle up should plug into
and the yellow circle is there the charcoal canister plugs into.

    Goodluck

Yup, definately the aircon idleup. I had one on my AE92 from factory.

You will also notice that the MAP sensor output plugs into a little filter (well that is what the EPC calls it), perhaps MAP sensors don't like the fuel fumes that could be in the manifold?
