no you will need 16's or bigger. unless you use r32 calipars but they dont bolt stright on from what ive heard. you need a spacer for the r32 calipars.
ive got a mx83 that i plan on doing the 33 upgrade for, just got a quick question for those who have done it before.
do the standard rims clean the caliper??

pretty sure the standard ones on atm are 16??
Nah cressida oem rims are 15". For a quick and easy swap I'd suggest r33 gtst rims or jza80 supra rims - both clear the brakes and sit flush, well the supra rims might extrude a bit oitside the guards if it isnt lowered.
obviously no worries with stud pattern then?
Check out what wheels other Cressida owner's have on as most have done the R33 brake upgrade.
If you have wheels with the right offset you need to check how the spokes on the wheel curves to clear the caliper. I had a set of wheels with the right offset but needed a spacer so the spoke would not touch the caliper.
sorry, but arnt these the standard rims? or am i mistaken?
anyway will these rims fit? if somebody can give me the amount of room i need then i can measure.
thanks
do you know the offset of them wheels? there not factory cressida wheels that i know of unless they came of a jzx81 maybe? as said above r33 wheels, jza80 wheels, and lexus is200, and 250 wheels fit very well with this upgrade. im running the is250 alloys and there 16/6.5 +45 offset.
not sure, they came with the car, i just assumed they where standard as they look it and they got the badge over the nuts.
i guess we shall she when i try it out.
cheers for the help
u can get away with no spacer to run r32/z32 calipers, just a bit of machining of the rotor.
i *think* that stock 15's will clear, but to be honest i havent tried, i got r33 and z32 wheels sitting over my z32 calipers with modified mazda mpv rotors.
both sets of wheels clear the calipers altho i have to alter the offset of the z32 ones as they stick out of the guard a bit..... they will come off and go in the lathe for machining in the next couple of weeks, hopefully can get em inside the guards
and no those are not stock mx83 wheels but i would say try the brakes on and see if they fit, otherwise troll the nissan forum/ebay for a set of skyline stockies.
There is no substitute for PUBIC inches
Never late in an x8
rshuwy they are X81 chaser wheels.
