Default Toymods go-karting day - Saturday May 1 - Eastern Creek

On saturday the first of may, we will be going gokarting at eastern creek. Current start time is midday, however this may change pending availability. Details of the day are below :

    Eastern Creek Grand Prix http://www.easterncreekkarts.com.au/grand-prix.php#mini
    $210 per person
    4 heats
    1 grand final

The High Performance Corporate Thunder Karts are built with Briggs and Stratton motors. These karts are capable of reaching speeds of up to 95kph with power that is instantaneous. These karts have a tiny microchip fitted which records all lap speeds and a lap by lap analysis. This information is stored in a database so each driver receives a complete record of times in their event. All safety gear including helmets, race-suits, gloves and hairnets are supplied. High tech computerised lap scoring system which provides an in-depth lap by lap analysis print-out as the race happens. Lap times are also displayed on television monitors.
We need a minimum of 10 people to book (but we can go up to 20 if need be), and we need a deposit of $500. It is recommended that we make this booking by the end of the week if we want to make sure we can actually go, as the bookings are filling up quick apparently. With this in mind, I need everyone who wants in on this to send me a deposit of $50 by this friday.

So I guess I'll organise this much like garth does with the trackdays - if you want in on this, send me a pm and I will give you my bank details. Once you transfer the deposit I will put your name on the list.

    Thanks guys

Have had some suggestions to put this on the same day as the toymods night cruise. Gokarting all day followed by nice cruise in the evening. Sounds like a plan no?

I agree with doing it on the cruise date, so Stitty and potentially others will be in town and can either come to this as well, or meet up together afterwards.

Will vote after lunch, pretty sure Eastern Creek epic day will be my preferred.

They have to accrew enough for nose reconstructions as well as feeding his mime family. The dont talk much so they never need much water for their dry mouths.

I've done picton as well & spectated a mate doing a 12 hour race at EC. I'd go to EC simply because I haven't raced there before as it is something different.

However I cannot make the date proposed soo bummed.

the corporate circuit at EC is pretty epic, but you can do almost the entire track flatout
I'm yet to go to Picton though. The Picton track is tighter than the EC track.

We did circuit #3 from here with the MR2 club http://www.easterncreekkarts.com.au/...ircuit-map.php

Picton isn't tight anymore they smoothed over all the ripple strips that use to be bumpy as all f*ck originally so you couldn't go over them without smashing the kart and yourself to bits. Now you only need to lightly brake for turn 2/the hairpin. Everything else is flat out.

EC purely for the location. If we do it on the cruise night, thered be more of a chance getting some cruise folk racing.

I could certainly be interested pending what day it is on.

Anything works for me, i quite liked the picton track when i did it.

at $350 it is almost cheaper to race real go-karts (except for the initial setup cost)

yeah $350 is quite a lot, but then it does include seven sessions of track time plus a warmup....

nevertheless looks like EC is winning atm... get ya voting hats on peoples!
