    Default 4AG(Z)E Engine mounts

About to go sourcing some uprated engine mounts for my 4AGZE, I was under the assumption that they are the same as 4AGE mounts.

I am talking AE92 FWD engine mounts of course.

Confirmation on this would be good, not to mention a place to purchase them in Sydney ( aside from Toyota Parts ) would be good. Unfortunatly Noltec no longer make them which is a shame.

I do hope you mean rear as in back of the engine bay rear. The two I want to replace are the one at the front of the timing cover and the one at the very end of the gear box.

Diz, as takai suggests, the only mount that differs from an aussie AE92 SX/GTi (with 4age) is the rear gearbox mount.... yes the one at the very back of the engine bay.

The drivers and passengers side engine mounts are the same as a 4AGE, so you are in luck

Oh yeah, did we mention that the rear engine mount is a PITA to get out

The front and side are easy as, did both on the street outside the RTA just to make a point when i regoed my car, they didnt much like the Noltec solid front mount and the sikaflexed side mounts.

is that just a band-aid solution, or a good way to fix? because the twinscrew is ready to go in so there will be a bit more stress than usual on the mounts

It works pretty well if you get them before they have ripped apart. It is still a good bandaid afterwards though. Commonly works slightly better if you have two discs of alloy in on either side too.
