    Default conversions section?

It seems that the "engine and driveline conversions" subforum of the tech section is being used as a general "tech" section as well... even though the description is
    Engine & Driveline Conversions
This section is only for detailed write ups of Engine & Drivline conversions involving Toyota's. Threads in this section should be useable as a "How To" Guide.
    threads like
    What cc are these injectors?
    top end power lose
    Silvertop Oil Leak ?
just a little bit of help please(fuel pump)
    How can i connect a 2JZ-GTE to a T56 ??

etc are not what i would call detailed write-ups, or even how to guides

any chance it could get a bit more mod attention and restore the section to be more about definitive guides of how to do conversions, as opposed to random tech questions?

    Hi,

Agreed. That section really needs a broom put through it.

I'll add it to tomorrow nights agenda. Quick chat and it shall be fixed......

    Cheers,

    Pete

well there is the FAQ as well ... http://www.toymods.net/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=12

but then "engine and driveline conversions" should be like the FAQ of.. well.. it's title..
was just thinking it is more likely to be referred to if people don't have to weed out the non-guides from the guides...

    thanks Pete

Its been like that since conception Stu, its just been the moderators who have been moving threads.
But since there are no real complaints about that section, I don't think the mods bother spending too much time there.

I go and clean it every so often, but I have been busy of late with work.

I've just done a clean of the front page, and yes it has gotten out of hand again.

    Hi,

I don't go there as I thought it was Witzls domain and he looked after that section.

Mind you, if needed I am more than happy to clean it out.

I thoguht the FAQ was witzls section.

In that regard, it might be good to allow certain members to post in there, along with Witzl. I know i cant update or reply to any stuff in there, yet some others can.

So they've now been moved, but couldn't they have been moved without the Moved thread notification option turned on? (ie. so it doesn't leave behind the little "Moved" link)

If you go to the Conversions section now, it's full of "Moved" links...

The Moved links are temporary, So there isn't a heap of new threads in this section with the title "where did my thread go?" I think I set them to a week after which they dissapear.

Any that are off the first page will be straight moved
