    Default mz20 rear speakers?

    just wondering if anybody knows how to remove the standard rear speakers, as ive blown them and want to put some new some new ones in, any info would be appriciated.

    i have no idea what they look like , as i never had them. but apparently under the 1mm thick shelf u have there , there is some mounts which have screws that just basically unscrew them from the metal under the 1mm thick shelf

    if u take them out, IMO u should also take the time to replace the shelf that come in stock Mz/gz20s make the sound qual a whole shitload better

    use some 9mm - 12mm MDF .

    basically, get under there and have a look, if you cant see any grilles/covers to pop out from inside the car, get inside the boot and have a look up and under.

    like Coffee said, replace the shitty old rattly 15+ year old shelf for something decent and beefy, it'll vibrate less, and give you alot better response/bass.

    oh, and 6x9's = teh suck

    yeah thanks for the info just such a pain in the arse with the brackets n what not, but i removed the seats n parcel shelf yesterday arvo. now i have to wait till tomorrow cos bunnings isnt open today, something to do with easter or something i removed the terminals from the old speakers and soldered them onto me pioneer 6inchers yo keep it stock n easier to remove if the need be later on

    Hamgatan: Are they the 4-way ones? I got a set of them and they are very nice and i havn't even been bothered hookin up an amp to them. Shame theres no room in the SW20 for them

    Is it hard storing the targa's there at all? The speakers dont affect them? (assuming u have targas from the pic)

    yeah its a bit hard.. but i just clamp them in with the straps and the edge just sits on the grille.. its a pretty strong grille and i havent had any worries with it yet
