Hrm, carb cleaner?
Sounds like a rebuild of the carb required.
it sounds like there'd a bit of crap stuck in there.
Evening guys,
Today i noticed a fast sucking/squeek in the top of the carb of my 18rc . Upon inspection - the source of the vacuum squeek is the small circular port viewable from the top of the carb (about 2cm down)- on the right side..... in the secondry throat. When i place my finger over the hole ... the squeek stops and the idle slightly improves.
Where should i start? any ideas? I'm stumped ... why would vacuum be provided to a hole in the carb?
The irritating noise only just appeared and coincidently has leaned out the fueling....
Thankyou
David

Hello
thanks for the reply.
I found the problem today.... The hole leads to a chamber on the side of the carb inwhich there is a valve type setup. I 'adjusted' the cup to seal better ..... And it worked! No squeek and no leaning out
i have been told that this valve is to assist somehow in deceleration emmisions
Thanks
dave
