Depends how you play it you could make it alot or a little bit.

Prolly $100 in Petrol, $100-150(or so...prices TBA) to enter driving events with CAMs licence, $100-150 in accom if you shared with two people and whatever you spent on booze and the cheapest way to eat would be Maccas all week.

I reckon about $400-500 would cover you no sweat, with plenty of brews to boot.

& jus a side note before it starts, can we all just remember that this is run by volunteers, (they are not professionals) people who want to help the event & general toyota community meet, have fun in their toys & drink.

And is there any reason then why it can't be improved?

It's the second (I think) year the motorkhana was run. In a different (and better) location, an improvement.
This year the drags are back again in addition, another improvement.

Fun means different things for different people. For me, my car is meant to be driven, and it just seemed strange that last year the person that had the fastest overall time didn't get recognised. Ok, that was me, but maybe this year it won't be. If the timing is done differently this year, then it may not be, but that's ok. And if it had been based on the best runs instead of overall last year, it wouldn't have been me.

In a show 'n shine for example, someone can rock up having spent a lot of money on their car to make it look the best it can, and they get recognised for that. There's still other classes, etc.
But someone bringing an AWD car to a motorkhana because it has the best grip for the conditions doesn't, and then gets handicapped because of it?

Teon: Thank you so much. I always dreamed about what it would be like to maybe win one these someday but I never actually thought that would happen. I drive a Supra MarkIV and I'm from Canberra so thank you so much for giving me a chance to win a Toyota nationals award...

Kanye: Yo Teon, I’m really happy for you…I’ll let you finish. But Steve had one of the best khanas of all time! One of the best khanas of all time!

i think you missed the point to my comment.
its a learning curve n could only get better, like i said "they are not professionals" ,& anyway its not on tv, im sure they did the best they could. i had a ball n killed a diff

& to be fair how many AWD toyotas turn up? are you there just for a trophy?? or fun??
im sure if you wanted to volunteer it could only add & help the event.
(i dont know how these events are scored or timed, it was jus a thought)

and i think if any1 has any ideas for classes or anything this would be a good spot to say, kind of like a suggestion box
