how responsive is the 380? Iv been the told the 430 would be suitable for my 1ggte but im a bit concerned about lag.

i've got a 380 on my car, so far (install and a couple of gentle run-ups to boost) I'm very happy with it. I think they're made in Taiwan?

Not too sure yet. Iv got a blown head gasket and my car is in pieces at the moment.
But while im takeing the head off im getting one of my customers from work to service it cheap and putting on a new water pump, timing belt and tensioners, bigger intercooler, single turbo conversion. Iv got a lot of work to do
Iv got an old Apexi AFC i was thinking of using and with all that i was hopeing for just over 200rwkw's. not sure if im gona get it though.
200rwkw might be pushing it, the old motor from my car (when JCMO had it) made 180kw at 18psi, with high-flowed factory turbos. If you get big injectors and a proper computer, there's no reason you couldn't, and it might even be possile on the factory computer...200rwkw is a massive step from factory though, I think they'd make 100-120kwatw factory?
You're probably best to start a thread in the 'general car talk' or just jump into my 'project decade' thread if you've got any questions, save clogging up this thread. But yes, I think the 380 is a very suitable turbo for this motor. If you need cooler piping etc done, I can probably help out there too., and I've now got the fittings/lines etc for the KKR turbos down pat for the 1G
