So what two rules did he break? I had a look at his posts and could only see the thread in the wrong section?

Edit - And who's moderating classifieds these days? Shouldn't this thread just be deleted if he doesnt have posting rights for the wrecking section?

    Where?

I'm guessing this is in the Mods only section, but I'm not a mod so it doesn't help the Club Members...

He posted in the wrong section as you said, but he also didnt post a price.

Ok, it must only be viewable by board members. Once the icon and flag are introduced, the infraction process will be much more efficient.

ORLY? That's a bit silly don't you think?

Simon's introduction to this feature cited a single infraction per post limit. This dudes been hit 3 times, twice by the same person

So the whole Club membership now has a say in what content is acceptable or "Toymods safe"

This is a trial, if the system is abused the user will have the right to hand out infractions revoked, and will probably go on a holiday themselves.

    Please use this wisely.

Any comments are welcome to develop the system.

Quoted from the original post hilighting the point of interest.

Since this is a new thing, and it is obvious that most people are not clear on things would it not be better to actually communicate with the person making the alledged 'infraction' to find a swift resolution then if nothing changes with a reasonable period (like a couple of days where it is clear the person in question has visited the site in that time) you then hit with an infraction notice?

The forums are beginning to remind me of Police Academy 4 - Citizens on Patrol.

To a lesser extent it reminds me of the 1971 'Stanford prison experiment'.

It'll be interesting to see how it all pans out......

i was infracted by Zop last week for having 'Selling now' in my sig, i understand why inftraction was handed out and accepted it, but looking through this thread i disagree with the infraction being allowed to be handed out for a 'wanted' item in the sig,

    e.g.
    1984 Ma61 Supra 5M-GE POWA!!! GONE
    1990 JZA70 Aerotop LSD Manual
    Woggins NEW 2JZ love affair
And the winner of the big car race is......HOT ROD ZOIDBERG!
    Wanted- Ma61 rusty hatch ()

I can understand selling advertisement in a sig incurring a infraction, but a infraction for telling people you want them to pm you if they have a rusty ma61 hatch, thats sorta unfair in my opinion...

e.g. a new member (say joined last week) may have wat i am looking for, but he cant access the classifieds because of whatever reason, so i cant get the part because he cant access the area, but i am not allowed to say i want this, so your essentially blocking them from getting what they need..

but in saying that, your also stopping the new member from making a sale, which is what blocking them from classifieds is there for.

hmmmmm, i still dont agee with it, but as always, opinions are like assholes, everyone has one and thinks everyone elses stinks!

Also, when i was infracted Zop changed my sig from saying "1990 JZA70 Aerotop LSD Manual NOW SELLING'' to "1990 JZA70 Aerotop LSD Manual Selling" isnt that still advertising?? coz i am saying that i am selling it??

    From this thread.

This rule is in place as posting items for sale/wanted in your signature is a way of getting around the rules of the classified section. As you are aware, some sections are restriced by reputation and while it is true that the wanted section is free for all users, along with Toyotas for sale and wanted, a complete ban on advertising in signatures is in place instead of having exceptions (say allowing advertising for these sections for instance).

Wog- yeah I got pinged for the same thing... Intact I thing Zop's quoted answer was to my question.. But yeah I agree it's a shit rule... Considering the wanted section is free for anyone to see I don't see an issue... Nobody is bypassing the classified rules...

I don't see why the rule can't be changed to "no advertising of for sale items in your signature" that way the only thing allowed is wanted... Which everyone has access to anyway... But yeah.. There are ways of getting around things wog.. Refer to my sig.. I'm confident I'm not breaking any rules..
