    Default OS Giken Push pull converter for R154??

    Hey guys,

    Well seems like there is two different push pull converter for an 1J R154 OS Giken clutch.

    do both work the same for the R154 box?

    Or which one will i need for the 1J R154 box?

    I'm running the 1st one

    the 2nd one almost looks home made

    Im running the first one as well.

    I snapped the mount points pictured on the left and had it replaced with billet (already snapped and rewelded once before in Japan).

    I think the 2nd pic is a later (more solid) version to combat the inherent weakness of the pivot point.

    BlackSupra is on the money - the first cast type was prone to cracking and the second one was a much stronger revision.
    There is a third beefier cast type from pictures I've seen which may be a later revision. I've used 3 different sets of the second type on various cars/engines and never had a drama with the movement kit on the street or the track - it's seriously over engineered.
    Lube up all those moving parts liberally with appropriate lubricant otherwise it will dry up, bind and get pretty heavy on the left leg.

    Ive got the outter housing of the second one here if anyone has the rest of it, then they can make themselves up a complete unit..
