Default 4agze aftermaket ECU, worth it?

    hello,

i just wanted to know it is worth is to put an after maket ecu on to my 4agze.

i have a 175mm crank pully and i would like to upgrade to a sc14 one day, but should i get the computer now will it make any inprovment in the power i already have?
and if so where is the best place in melbourne to get this done?
and what is the best ecu for a 4agze?

It wont make a huge improvement just yet. The mixtures are pretty good even with a larger pulley.
That said, if you are seriously considering more mods then i woudl suggest that you start shopping around to see if you can get a good price.

Not sure who would do installs in Melb, but Bennica Motors have always been good for racing bits, especially on Alfas and other Italian cars. I think they do Autronics thoguh, and probably a bit rich for most people.

I'd say worth it for sure. I gained 8hp in straight before-and-after runs just with fuel tuning on a $80 fuel/air controller after putting on a 165mm pulley, so I think the gains would be awesome with a good managment setup. Plus you can delete the AFM etc...

Im setting up a wolf3d setup on my GZE, and plan on using speed technology in melb's to tune. They dont seem to be too expensive should cost about $400 to tune, but i already have a map.

id say definatley mine made a heap more power with an aftermarket computer plus leaves scope for more mods down the track
edit: with the removal of the afm you get some awesome s/c intake whine
