    Default Coil Pack Compatibility?

As Mulder said from the X-Files - I just want the truth....

I remember reading on the old forum that 7M-GTE, 4A-GZE and 1G-GZE coil packs are compatible....is this the case?

Or does it only apply to specific years / series?

    Thanks,
    Mitch.

I know that 7MGTE and 4AGZE coilpacks are compatible. I had a 7MGTE coilpack on an old GZE i worked on. Not sure about the 1GGZE.
Oh yeah, early 4AGZEs used single spark coilpacks with a dizzy, so you cant use those.

they might have different part numbers but are essentially the same part - 4agze (with DLI ignition not a dizzi) and 7mgte are definately the same.

1ggzi is probably the sam, the igniter works the same way as the 7mgte unit.
