the rear floor pan is totally different, you wont be able to bolt up the diff and subframe onto a ST184. the GT4 one is higher to allow for the diff and subframe.

the St185 also has larger tail shaft well to allow for the tail shaft and exhaust.

it would be cheaper just to buy a GT4.

    yes its possible......

but why unless you got the cash and know-how..

gt4's arent really that rare to get a hold of.....

will cost $3500 for gt4 front cut to get everything you need for the conversion...
then... you gotta cut the shit out of the rear chassis.... make mounting points for diff cradle, move fuel tank, re-inforce the rear chassis, make a new floor, rust proof, paint, and not something that can be done in a garage.... if measurement are slightly out on cradle mounts the diff will sit out of alignment and be a PITA to get wheel alligned.......

    yes.possible but why?

edit.... plus the cradle, diff, axles, struts, brakes, for the rear end gonna set you back another $2000 minimum......

so based on that its what $5500....... you can buy gt4's for that....

Yeah considering the scarily low price that GT4's go for now, I'd just buy one instead. At least it won't still be a POS fwd
