    Default RWD Driveshaft Lengths

I'm trying to compile a list of Toyota RWD driveshaft lengths that may aid everyone doing conversions requiring altered driveshaft lengths

To measure a driveshaft up for this table, use the following guideline:

1: Specify front or rear driveshaft and any fittings
2: lay the driveshaft flat and run a tape from the front of the universal reinforcing (around the hole the uni cap sits in), to the rear of the mounting flange on the end
3: If you know what style of Yoke is on any front shaft measured, please also make a note of this

For the yokes, I use the following descriptors:

    T50 20 spline
    T50 22 spline
    "W50" 21 spline
    "R154" 23 spline,

    and the list currently:

MA45 Supra, front shaft with centre bearing, 440mm, W50 yoke
RA23/28/40 Celica, front shaft with centre bearing, 475mm, W50 yoke
MX73 Cressida, front shaft with centre bearing, 490mm, W50 yoke
MX83 Cressida, front shaft with centre bearing, 490mm, R154 yoke
JZX90, front shaft with centre bearing, 515mm

    Fantastic idea!

It might also be worth noting style of center bearing, tho I'm pretty sure most (all?) Toyota center bearings are interchangeable? I know I've put a JZZ30 center bearing on a MA61 shaft and vice versa

I've got some measurements but I'm pretty sure I measured end to end.

Most Toyota's have ~100mm of yoke if I recall...

Perhaps end->end / end->center bearing flange and a yoke length might be easier to measure (and perhaps more consistent?). Just an idea, not saying there is anything wrong with your method

Btw it seems some of mine differ you yours :S

MX62 Auto One piece shaft length 1355mm, W5x
    MX73 Auto Two piece shaft length (Front = 653mm Rear = 802mm), W5x
    SA63 Manual (W55) Two piece shaft length 1405mm (Front = ), W5x
    MA61 Manual (W58) Two piece shaft length (Front= 610mm ), W5x
MA61 Auto Two piece shaft length (Front = 530mm), W5x
MX83 Auto Two piece shaft length (Front = 570mm), R154

    Cheers

MA70 W58 front shaft length, from tip of yoke to base of flange = 650-655mm tops. Yoke itself is about 150mm, while shaft is ~500mm from center of U-joint to base of flange. Oddly enough the GR heritage program lists the trans side joint to joint length as being 549mm.

The lexus sc300 W58 front shaft length is reportedly about 630mm from tip of yoke to base of flange.
