    Default 1jz non VVTi - 1jz VVTi differences?

    just looking into the differences between them,

    i know the heads/manifolds are different,

    but what about block? engine mount brackets? bellhousing bolt pattern? sumps?

    any help greatly appreciated,

    Hi,

    Bellhousing and sump bolt pattern is the same for both VVTi and non.

    On the VVTi there are an additional set of mounting holes cast/tapped into the right hand side of the block. I had to use the holes closest to the front when bolting the VVTi into my MX83.
