Different as not as many Tall units in the proximity of the track that actually give a decent vantage point and the obvious lack of boobz.

Hence more like the old canberra street circuit pissant sized temporary stands which allow a 5-10 second glimpse of the circuit.

Sydney isn't the place for a street race & if you are having one it definately shouldn't be in Homebush. Its a hot & boring as fuck place. It lacks decent entertainment venues for post race celebrations & is a shit of a place to get to.

as for 'entertainment' they usually establish their own venues inside the circuit precinct for these events.
Plus Eastern Creek and Oran Park are so much better as far as entertainment venues go?

However I do agree with you in that Sydney does not need a street race.

Public transport that is minimal on weekends you need to catch the shitty granville line & then change at lidcombe etc.

Events like Eastern Creek & Oran Park attract different crowds. Street events generally attract people that will want to hit up the town afterwards where a permanent venue is a more family friendly event as you can mark out a patch of grass and sit down all day in the sun.

Street circuits involve walking laps of the circuit in search for a semi decent viewing point which you can't do with kids as they get tired of doing this quickly.

WTF planet do you live on... there is a dedicated train that leaves from Central intercity terminal that goes straight to Homebush. Take the express service from C/Town and change there. I think there is even free public transport for pre-sold ticket holders. And cry more about having to change trains... try living in London and travelling to anything. Generally riding to tube from anywhere to anywhere worth going to requires a min 3 train changes. Tokyo is even worse.
