    Doesn't necessarily mean it's leaking at the head. Get some dye and a black light, put the car in your garage or wait until night. Run it a few minutes and rev it up so it can become pressurized rather than under vaccuum. See where the coolant leaks with the light.

    If that isn't an option for you do a leakdown test. There are also shops that will hook up to the top of your rad and pump air in and wait to see if it goes down by too much within a certain time. While this is happening you can look under to find your leak.

    With these tests you can figure out if it's the HG or not.

    As a matter of fact I had BHG symptoms and I got the rad test, it was my lower rad hose leaking. It was letting in air too and my coolant would go down and I got lots of bubbles/air.

    I tightened it more but it turned out the inlet on the rad was bent into a diamond shape rather than circular. Replaced it and it worked 200% better. Was getting clogged and weak anyways.

    mmmm interesting, i think it may be a job for a radiator store then.
