Sounds like you guys are having the same issues as the club down here in Victoria. Good luck with it, hope you can get it going again!
as mentioned here - potentially the 2nd last meeting of the TCCQ is next Tuesday (1 September '09).
The current committee (self included) can't keep the club alive if the club does nothing for its non-existent members.
Is the ideal opportunity for new enthusiasts to take on the mantle and keep this club running. It's been around since the 1st Celica was released in Australia and it would be shame to see it fold.

It would be great to keep it running - so many of the original members have left or moved onto other things and it's become quite fragmented.
Brisbane lost the Marque Sports Car Club last year (an umbrella group doing night runs and providing cams affiliation) and other clubs are having a trying time.
I'm now sunshine cast based and have not been able to get to any events (for any club) this year except a few rallies as they're close to me.
Cost of fuel and living has made it quite hard for enthusiast clubs to stay afloat.
