My opinion would be the 4AGE becuase it is fuel injected and more aftermarket support. But then it depends on how much you have to spend with setting up the fuel system and wirring the engine up.
Trying to decide whether to go 3TC or 4AGE into a KE30 for daily driving.
Planning on keeping them naturally aspirated, with limited modifications: mild cam, extractors, compression and DHLA40 Dellortos; Wade 274 advertised duration cam for 3TC and something that gives a similar RPM powerband for the 4AGE. That's as far as I'll go; won't be going into turbo in the future.
4AGE I might be getting is all ready in rear wheel drive and setup to run carbs, so just need to make new engine mounts and setup the hydraulic clutch. About the same with the 3TC, only the 4AGE costs a bit more.
Want to have something driver friendly for urban/city driving. Quick pickup through town and to not hesitate when overtaking a line of cars or a truck on the highway. Thinking torque would be a factor? 4AGE is more superior in design and would rev well, but was thinking the 3TC would have more torque? Petrol usage might be a factor if there is a large discrepancy; hoping something for around 10-13 L/100km.
Just wanted to get peoples opinion on which engine would be appropriate for daily driving?

He has said that the 4AG will be run on a pair of Dellorto carbies.
I'd still go the 4AG though. Easy to get parts for, no need for huge modifications to get decent enough power, strong. Probably more fuel efficient, but when going with carbys and bigger cams it shouldn't really be one of your concerns. If it is, go EFI.

EFI 4AGE will shit all over 13L/100km.... Any reason you HAVE to use carbies? It's really not that much work for a basic EFI setup.
The above opinion is just that - my opinion. It is not shared by any business that I am currently or have previously been involved with, nor any of their employee's.
The 4AGE is all ready setup for carbs, no EFI components with it (no inlet and computer). Has a different distributor.
