Default MZ20 aerocabin manual conversion problem

    Hi Folks

I have a unique problem that I though Id run past those more knowledgeable than I.

My aerocabin has just undergone a manual conversion. Every thing is sweet.....except the most important thing... the roof.

I can no longer put the roof down. I attribute this to the fact that there is no longer an auto trans to put into park.

Before when it was auto you had to have the handbrake on, foot on the brake pedal and the trans in park before the roof would go down.

Of course now there is no auto to put into Park.

Im assuming this is a mater of wiring and I was wondering If I could have a switch on the dash that would closed circuit the wires that tell the ECU that the trans is in park.

I assume its no good to have it permanently in park as that would cause problems with the neutral start and reverse switch.

So I was wondering if anyone could shed some light onto what I might need to do for this mod. Unfortunately I no longer have the Auto box, so I can’t check out the wiring on it.

i guess what i need to know is which wires are involved in telling the ECU that the trans is in park.

should be able to run a switch like you said from the park position into the roof control..
pm GU11TY he's got a wiring diagram of the aerocabin.

wiring a switch in so that its permanently in park is fine and won't affect the reverse light switch and the neutral start switch..
