Default Shannons Eastern Creek Classic - Sunday 23rd Aug

Still about 5 weeks off. Are we organising anything for this event?

I noticed in the announcement that we will be alongside the Toyota Car Club of NSW.
Is this one where we just roll up and enter or does an application need to be filled out?

How many Toymodders are going to attend?

    Cheers, Greg.

We actually have to be an associate member of the Club that runs the event... and we are in the process of getting the nod of approval. All going to plan Toymods will be there!

Spaces are quite limited though, but pretty sure there's a spot reserved for the crown. I'm sure we'll organise a meet up point to cruise there together.

These guys are pretty strict on straight up 'Original' Classics entering the show, but that doesn't mean others can't go along for a look see. I'll sure as hell be there with 4Gb of SD card for the camera

    Hi,

We have been granted approval to attend to show our classics.

Toymods has 5 spots reserved, and I have the entry cards.

    We're in!

    Greg,

We have 5 places booked for the Shannons Classic this year. We were hoping to see your MS45 in one of them

Can't I bring the RS41 and leave it at stock height and put the stock tail light lenses back on?

I say take the RS41 and dump it on it's guts. There are plenty of non stock cars at the show so it shouldn't be any issue.

As Josh has said, the show looked to be pretty lenient as I remember there was a KE30 with an FJ something in it.
but in saying that it was with one of the hill clubs.

    Hi,

I'd prefer you to bring the KE20 or MS45, assuming both are stock.

At the moment we (Toymods) are trying to get entry into the CMC and they said they are sticklers for originality. Maybe next year (assuming we are in the CMC) we can be a little more aggressive with the cars we bring, but not sure if we should puch it at the moment.

Thoughts... Pretty Boy, Lambo or Keanu?

    Greg,

I actually spoke to the CMC guys about being able to enter Josh's MS51 at the show and was advised that cars on airbags are not allowed

    Josh,

We have been attending the CMC's monthly meetings as part of our application to become part of it. So far the cars have passed inspection, and the board who attended passed the interview process. Now there membership just has to vote on it.

In talking to them a lot they do allow slightly modified cars and appreciate them, but only period accesories.

Basically the way they suggested clubs look at it as if you can find the part you wanted to fit in a wMotor, Wheels, street machine or similar magazine from the year of your car then its ok. Obviously that doesn't include engine swaps and heavy mods.
