Default makign a 1jz loom for aftermarket ecu

    hi guys,

im putting an aftermarket ecu on my 1jz drift car therfore i need to make up a loom for it.

i have a complete untouched manual 1jz loom and ecu id much prefer to sell off so is there an easy way to source the plugs i need?

pretty sure i would only need the following

    2x cps plugs
    6x injector plugs

and possibly a tps plug (which i dont think is essential) and likewise the water temp plug (which i could just buy a new sensor and plug for $40)

are the main plugs easy to come buy or can u buy new. or am i better off just choppign them off my loom then throwing the rest in the bin.

    cheers

You can buy the connectors from toyota, there's also an ebay seller that has Denso injector plugs and pins, they're not that cheap though at $8ea..

You'll probably find that a lot of other toyota's share the same style of plugs so a trip to the wreckers should be able to provide the bits you need.

Getting new crimp terminals to suit the TPS, coolant Temp sensor, Crank & Cam sensors is a bit more challenging though...

go to a wreckers with a pair of wire cutters and chop something off a dead engine.

i got some efi bits off a diahatsu the other day which were the same as all the toyota injector plugs. you just need to hunt around

the crank pos plugs might be a bit harder to find but probably not impossible.

phoned up toyota and they do not sell any plugs at all for 1jz looms

have sold my loom however i still need the following plugs if anyone has them, send me a pm please.

    both cam sensor plugs
    1x knock sensor plug
1 hydro fan temp sensor plug

(believe the cams and the knock are same as a 2jz)

    cheers

so you got the part numbers to order them? They're in the connector repair book.

try quoting them numbers for the connectors and plugs. dont even bother telling them what its for

if they have to find the numbers for you then they will tell you that they wont sell them or they arent available

its been a long time since ive asked these kinda of questions so does anyone know that these two plugs circles are?

the bigger one only has 3 wires despite being a 4 pin plug and the other one is only 2 wire (1 yellow and 1 wight)

4 pin one looks like AC?

    Not sure on the other.

Oh and you can buy plugs from Toyota, I've done it before. As JP said part numbers are in the connector repair book...
