Nice choice in computer mate, got the same one.
I actually completely gutted my dizzy and made a complete new trigger using a Haltech hall sensor with their rare earth magnets. I did this to go direct fire.
I think Joel with the Blue 28 who used to have 3TGT had to do this modification. Maybe send him a PM. You've also got Rod and Jas who would most likely know.
    Cheers,
    Neil.

Yeah I gutted the dizzy completely, leaving just the shaft. From memory it was 2 piece? Allowing advance on the old system.. If thats correct I welded the two bits together so it was a 1 piece shaft.
I then had a sleeve machined up that slid over it with a lug on it that triggered a hall effect sensor.

    Cheers

Thanks heaps for the advice guys. I was hoping to do this in the longer term and just get the dizz locked for now and go crank angle set up or something similar. When all working properly then ditch that bloody huge dizz!

Im REALLY piss poor on this stuff so think I will have to invest more time in researching a temp set up till I can find places to help with the machining etc.

Really appreciate the 'proper way to go' advice tho!
    cheers

Not trying to sound old or anything but the time, energy and money you'd but into a temp setup would just about get it done right first time
You just need to work out if you want direct fire or not. Direct fire needs signal from cams where the other requires a signal from the crank.

I still haven't fitted the set up shown on my site. Its now complete with a polished alloy cap, will sell complete for $175 inc postage if you're interested.

I made it up about 3 years ago and still haven't found enough time to do anything, so happy to sell if its suits your needs.

    Cheers,
    Simon
