I don't like the Idea of limiting the amount of threads people can post per day, that will just discourage input for when people have something good to contribute. If there is lots of off topic posts being made, that is what moderators are there for.

Or should topic of conversation when on cruises be limited purely to technical talks on cars and things mechanical as well? Are we not allowed to share a joke, a funny picture?
And before you go "But people get offended" I'm sure someone has been offended somewhat by a joke told at a cruise or something also...

For someone who loves the club so much, you're attempting to destroy its social aspect.

Edit: Resting my case here, and I will not be replying. As per usual you attempt to force everyone around on to your view point, even on morals/ethics. IE, you don't even attempt to see it the way someone else does.
all this over little old me?

As a long time member of this forum I've seen it change a bit (well, maybe more than a bit). I don't post all that often, but I read alot. I read almost every topic and opinion in every thread on the forums. It disappoints me to read what you post OC, as half the reason I joined the forums was due to your love of Toyota.

Lately, however I feel the forums have descinded into petty bickering from one of the founding members. I respect the club and what it stands for, but I will not be a part of OC's pipe dream.

    Cheers,

    Alex

    Hi,

We all love Toyotas and we all have our own dreams.

Every so often we get upset over things and people, but at the end of the day we are still kindred spirits here.

Please don't get too upset over issues that you find are in opposition to your own beleifs or desires. At the end of the day we come here to learn, to talk, to have fun and to strike up and maintain friendships.

To quote (and change) that well used line from Kennedy... it is not what the forums and Club can do for you, it is what you can do for the forums and Club.

Life is too short to waste on getting upset. Trust me on this, as most of my life is behind me, so I have quite a few years to look back upon.

So please, let's chill, have fun, learn some shit and enjoy what we have and the people we meet.

I think we should trial this method on OC to start with. 3 months of only being only to post once in one thread each day.

A nicer way would be to ask when were you born. Or if that doesn't work ask How old were you when you (Insert event here), and how long has it been since (Insert same event here)

One problem I can see here is a "Stolen car" or "Help me cause me car broke" type thread.
Be a bit of a long winded rescue with one post a day...
Maybe the General car section wouldnt be affected as such, but the Helicoptering Stockbrokers would be stuffed. (Or is that the point?)
What about the photography thread? That would get a bit of a hit too. There are a few threads in Non car that usualy have multi posts, which are not just whoring.

Since only members can see the Non car discussion I dont think its a massive problem, and if you restict posts there, wouldnt they just take it to Members rides? Which if its a project someone has an interest in, just means they would have to wade through 21 pages of conversation to find any little bits of technical info (Im looking at you Tom Vale )

On a side note, I think the only reason OC has noticed all the whoring everywhere is cause hes been feeling a little lost without his old sparing partner

    So, its all Rivers fault.
How much longer is King Mick banned for then?
