    Default 4M-5M intake interchangeability

just as a point of interest, do the 4M and 5ME have the same intake bolt patterns? Coz if they do, it'll save me having to put an 070 and a surge tank into this MX32 I'm looking at until I can afford it

I don't think its going to work, even the earlier 4M's out of MS65/early MS85's are different to late 4M's MX32's etc. I was going to put an earlier 4M manifold on a late 4M but it wouldn't work ports were different.

I'm pretty sure it will work.

    4M in MX32 should be a late-square cam cover 4M, same as 5ME?

Yes early 4M stuff won't interchange with 5M, but pretty sure 5ME will interchange with late 4M

So the mx32 4m inlet and exhaust manifolds will bolt on a 5m ma61 engine?

Dave, thanks for that, have a heavily corroded 4m head and no replacement to be found.

Can get a complete 5m VERY cheaply tho...

    Thanks again, rep added.
