    Hi,

You can, so long as it's the carby version of the engine, as Toyota with their "Customer Choice" system back in the 70s did allow you to get any option for any model - at a price.

    Hi,

Well, back then the changes remained in the same model and engine range.

Couldn't put an 18R-G in your LT TA22, but you could put in a 2T-G... or put an 18R-G in your RA23 LT.

Consider it more like when you used to be able order your Ford or Holden (not sure if you can do this anymore) with the V8 engine, even if you bought the humble low end vehicle.

The flexibility with Historics is based upon period accesories as well as manufacturer options. Jelly bean mags are in that period accessory category and therefore would be acceptable.

Webbers vs Solex... same period... webbers were a period accessory back then.

Again, it comes down to seeing it, so I'll check the email.

    Hi,

Got your email. Car looks pretty nice and tidy. I need to speak with Pretty Boy as we go over the pics.

Bits missing, like the console centre piece, isn't an issue to stop you getting historics.

In NSW a vehicle that is being registered for Historic plates only needs to have a pink slip. So, you don't need to do the blue slip.

When I purchased Ronnie (Silver RA28) from Victoria, she was unregistered and interstate, drove her all the way back to Sydney (with one of those "permission to drive unreg car from A to B" slip on the windscreen and no number plates) and got a pink slip for Historics the very next day.
