T18 Wiring Diagram???

Hi,

im in need of a wiring diagram for a T18/TE72...

in particular the engine bay diagram...

i need to wire up my coil, as the standard coil wire's were cut out when i converted to 4age...stupid wiring guy did it without telling me...

this is one of the last things i need to get the car running

any help is appreciated

If ya can wait till work resumes, I can scan it there and post it up for ya

Or I can prolly send ya some MMS's if urgent...but I don't know how to read wiring diagrams, so I might not know if it's useful at all.

pretty sure a 4age coil is powered through the engine loom to the ignition switch which is same source as the t18? which means you connect up t18 coil wire as factory and run straight to coil positive terminal. pity rwd bluetop loom (or ae82 4age loom) will end up with coil on l/h side when mounted in rwd... opposite side of t18 coil. so good idea to pull coil and ignitor wiring back across top of engine and exit the loom out on r/h side.

yeh i was using an ae82 loom for the rwd'ing conversion...

problem is i need the coil to be on the RHS for the 2tg...ill have a gander at the site thoug

so are you running 2tg or 4ag?
2t or 3t or 2tg coil is on r/h side.. 4age on l/h side which is not hard to move back to the r/h anyways.
had a quick look at that site again and seems the diagrams have been removed
haynes or toyota manuals are your friend. if i had a scanner i'd be able to help.

toyota manual shows coil positive wire is connected straight to IG terminal on the ignition switch. no fuse or anything. the wire is black/yellow stripe (according to this manual). This wire likely comes out of the firewall behind the r/h strut tower around where the accelerator cable is.

i took OUT the 4age that i had in it to put IN the 2TG

ill have to take a look and see what wires are still there hanging...

even if someone with a T18 can just expose the wiring going to the coil and then take some photos that would do the job...

And done! It's the best I could do at work for the 10 min it took me to clean up the pic.
