    Default 2tg heads

Following all the threads, does anyone know the volume(cc's) of the head for the 2tg. I've seen 45, 55 and 63. Any one know or measured one?

Mate to put it simply you'll have to measure it as if the head has been shaved that changes the volume plus any other head that may have been done over the years. Which 2TG head do you have?

11111-88222. Fairly confident it has never been off. Trying to short cut a rebuild.

There's an easy way to measure this. When I bought a printer refill kit from a local printer outlet, they gave me a 10ml syringe, needle was not sharpened. Quite accurate when compared to the cc numbers I calculated backwards.

Obviously make sure the head is perfectly horizontal 360 degrees.

Rep points are for those who feel inadequate in other areas !

I've recently done this for a late model ('82) 2T-GEU.
The syringe method is pretty accurate, so long as you place a piece of clear acrylic over the top with a fill & breather hole. This minimizes the effect of surface tension which puts the measurement out significantly.
I think mine was 62-63cc from memory, will confirm.....

I have measured the 262 head at 58cc and the 280 head (3T GTE) at 62cc.

There is every possibility that the heads have been made with a number of different combustion chamber sizes over the years.

The above methods mentioned work well - to cut the surface tension of the water add some soap (very little). Add some food colouring to make it easier to see.
    YelloRolla's KE20 1/4mi = 11.32 @ 119mph @ 22psi on slicks
    12.44 @ 113 mph on 165 wide street tyres
210rwkw - not bad for a smelly 3TGTE running pump fuel.

Confirming specs for late model 2tgeu:
    Head 58.5cc
    Deck & gasket 7cc
    Piston dome 15.5cc
Equals combustion chamber of 43cc, 9:1 comp ratio

As mentioned, there were numerous iterations of 2tg, so this is only a guide.
