    Default 2.4lt conversion

    G'day all just a quick question we have a 1986 corona 2lt auto and we would like to fit a 2.4lt, my question is will the 2.4lt bolt up to the 2 lt auto box ? any advise would be greatly appreciated

    I Assume your refering to swapping out the 18R for a 22R? if so, there shouldn't be a problem for the bellhousing atleast, IIRC the 18R has a different clutch and flywheel to the 22R, so perhaps the flexplate and or torque converter are different too... but if you get one with the new motor you should be laughing..

    i think his car will most likely be an st141 with the 2s-c motor if it's 2 litre. the 22r won't bolt up to your auto if that's the case. it would be alot easier if you started off with an rt142 as they have the 22r standard, but that said if you find a donor car you would have to transfer nearly everything (engine and driveline-wise) off it to your st141. it would probably be easier to do a 3sge conversion with the car you have
