Default F LSD diff noise pinion or bearing? rebuilding

    hey guys,

Diff in my ma61 has been noisy for a while and im looking into replacements/rebuilding.

The noise: Loud whirring noise would say higher pitched, loudest at 100kmh above 120 almost silent and its pretty quite below 80 ish. Only when its accelerating. As in if i sit on 100 and i accelerate its noisy back off noise is gone. From the research ive done it seems to be the pinion/crownwheel is worn. Its a bit clunky too but that part doesnt bother me just the dam noise.

What im wondering is, is that bearing or pinion noise?
If its pinion/crownwheel noise and i rebuild the diff with a trutrack center then the noise will still be there correct?

Thanks for you time, bit of noob when it comes to diffs

If you re-use your existing CP, yep! Bearings should all be changed when going to a new centre, so if it's bearings that should be no issue
