Could try runnin some Nulon or similar Additive in there and see if that quietens it any ?
hey guys,
Diff in my ma61 has been noisy for a while and im looking into replacements/rebuilding.
The noise: Loud whirring noise would say higher pitched, loudest at 100kmh above 120 almost silent and its pretty quite below 80 ish. Only when its accelerating. As in if i sit on 100 and i accelerate its noisy back off noise is gone. From the research ive done it seems to be the pinion/crownwheel is worn. Its a bit clunky too but that part doesnt bother me just the dam noise.
What im wondering is, is that bearing or pinion noise?
If its pinion/crownwheel noise and i rebuild the diff with a trutrack center then the noise will still be there correct?
Thanks for you time, bit of noob when it comes to diffs

its hella noisey no addative is going to help ive accepted this diff is toast (still locks up lsd most times though)
If you re-use your existing CP, yep! Bearings should all be changed when going to a new centre, so if it's bearings that should be no issueOriginally Posted by naten
