    Default G series hilux diff Axle seal leaking

    Hey guys ive got an axle seal leaking on my hilux diff.. Its a G series diff thats all i no about it as its in my sprinter .. Ive been ringing around for this seal but nobody seems to know what i am on about.. Its pissing out oil on my rear rotors/calipers and wheel so i need to replace it.

    Anybody know where to get this seal or the part number for me cross refference it to suppliers..

    You could pull one side out and take it to a bearing shop. They should be able to hook you up.

    Not much good taking an axle to the bearing shop when one seal is in the housing and another outside of the bearing in the backing plate . And if you do not have a press and the SST forget about taking it apart yourself.

    Who said anything about taking the axle? I meant take an old seal to be matched

    To take both seals you would have to use a press to dismantle the assembly . . Admittedly replacing the inner seal which is a 50x70x9 would probably stop the flow but the grease has probably been washed out of the bearing by the oil and will probably fail.
