    Jaemus.......... nice work dude, cant wait for startup, interested to see how well that supercharger goes!

    sadly.......due to some clearance issues with new radiator.....charger will be added later..after it is running and any probs are sorted.........will need to make new mounts for charger......so this will be dubbed stage 2........


    exhaust y-pipe and ecu wiring is all that is left.....besides other bits and pieces.......extremely close now and cant wait to fire it up myself............

    you did well with your halfcut! whered you get it from?

    my exhaust cost me $300- this was to make new downpipes from the manis, y-pipe merge, flexis, and join that up to the MR2 rear pipe. in mild steel

    when you get to stage 2, and ur mounting the charger, bear in mind what we were saying earlier about getting as much belt as possible around that pulley!

    i still got camry y-pipe, flex pipes, manifolds and manifold flanges...so all that will be needed is actual pipe and a cat..........

    as for belt on charger........i will keep that in mind......dissapointed it wont be on for starters but it gives me something else to strive for now.......i think power increase as is will be sufficient and fun for now.....lol...

    halfcut was from a local (new) wreckers here in wollongong.......

    yeah you will be having lots of fun keeping those tyres from turning to smoke as it is

    cool, nice score. my first bare motor without loom or ECU cost me $800

    thanks, man........


    i think i got a good deal....though i am yet to run the motor to test it.........so could be a lemon,,,lol....................

    when i saw the car in the wreckers, it was a complete car.......i asked them to cut it in half take the panels and glass out and id take the rest...........so thats what they did and for 550....i cant complain with that..........

    well i forgot to add mine came with a BHG!

    tho i got my second one complete with loom and ECU out of a running camry and no BHG for $888 - so slightly better value

    radiator pipe.....


    exhaust pipe with 90* bend.... went with pipe so it can be painted.......and cheaper then hose at that length.......

    the most interesting part of the conversion and you miss detail completely!!

    want something around 6-7 psi..........dont want to go overbored just keep it reliable and and easy......

    i got a small intercooler......will get measurements for ya when i can......

    will do as soon as i can.....

    basic rundown.....

    bought from a wrecker a rear V6 engine mount from a 626 mazda......fits perfectly...

    6mm mild steel... that bolts to 626 mount to make the mounting removeable......
    4mm angle welded to 6mm to bolt to block.............
    then re inforcing 6mm mild steel to help counter any flex......not that there should be any......

    however i do plan to make another mount as i have seen a better one.... that seems to be way more stable and better for the purpose

    actually the engine mount i have seen is Jaemus's..........that is awesome work dude......

    care to make another one for me.....lol......

    this is what i came up with.....

    copy and pasted from my Ozcelica thread....

    ok well pic update......

    got my new engine mount made......not yet finished put it is in and holding up the motor so all is good........


    stock 5sfe mount was too difficult to modify to do the job so off to the wreckers i went to try to find a steel mount......as 5sfe one was alloy......now i found a v6 mazda 626 mount that looked like it would do the job and give me clearence to be able to bolt it all together so i got it and this is what i came up with for the mount.......













    bare in mind these pics were taken a while ago since been more work done to it........but i really like jaeamus's one.........

    note that its to suit a 3VZ > SW20 swap

    awsome project do0d!! weird coincidence, a family friend who is an auto electrition by the name of Geoff (precision auto electric, out Nowra way) tells me hes gunna be wiring up a V6 celica....wouldnt be this one would it??????????
