    Default W58 Throwout bearing

I am in the middle of fitting up a W58 gearbox to a 1GGZE engine. I have fitted a new clutch and want to replace the throwout bearing but I have not yet been able to find one.
The clutch and bearing suppliers all say the same thing, i.e., "it must be a grey import thing and I've never seen one before."
    Any suggestions?

I always just grab mine from Repco or Autopro.

Never had a hassle getting one.

Your new clutch should have come with a standard W58/Supra/Hilux throwout bearing.

At least all mine have in the past.

Haha yup have one sitting on my desk here that came with my new clutch but yes like said auto one will be able to supply the bearing in a carrier with a clip for around the $30 mark. Toyota will also be able to supply one but at a stupid silly price.

Thanks everyone for your info. The Toyota dealer, Autopro and Repco all need a model and year because their catalogs don't have diagrams or specs. All I have is a gearbox. I have added pics to my post. If anyone can give me a model and year from these, it would solve the riddle.

Do you have the bearing carrier?

If you check the pic "...3 jpeg", it shows that the bearing and carrier or housing are an integral unit.

    I see your dilemma.

Get a carrier from a supra/soarer/hilux, the bearing just presses on to it.

Thanks everyone. I've located a Hilux bearing that will do the job.

Just following this thread up, I've been looking at throwout bearings for the last couple of days.

Daikin make the above throwout bearing, as well as 100 other types. Any shop with the Daikin catalogue can match the bearing.

As Teckool said, the 2RZ Hilux bearing is indentical.
