    Default 7M & 1JZ/2JZ flywheel compatability ???????

I have a Steel flywheel/puck clutch and TRD PP combo for sale and I was informed that it suited a 7M/R154 combo.

As I now no longer need at and am selling it, I have been asked will it fit a 1JZ-GTE/R154 oand I presume that the 2J is the same ?

So the $64 question is :

    Will a Flywheel/Cutch and PP combo for a 7M-GTE/R154 be equally home behind a 1J/2J and R154 ?

    Anyone know ?

    Cheers

it might be possible that the clutch itself will fit up to a jz/r154. it is true for w58 boxes

    the flywheel definitely wont though

Yes, the clutch will work on a 1JZ or 7M flywheel (assuming both have an R154).

Ah man, i read about this on the celicasupra forums last night but can't find the thread again. From memory all you need to do is drill new holes in the flywheel to be able to mount it to the 1/2JZ and its all fine, well thats what someone said anyways. Not too sure on the 'dodginess factor' though.

    3rded

thats a (much) worse idea than re-drilling wheels, its even worse than filing out holes or hammering in the wheel studs
