The lower face might have a different 'cut' angle, but the balljoint taper is still perpendicular to where the strut mounts (I compared this).

The balljoint mounting taper is not related to the 'cut' angle.

its not the cut angle at all, its the offset of the balljoint hole in relation to the strut mounting holes. Thats's what causes the positive camber with ma61 struts... there is nothing else that could do it as it seems teh LCAs are the same length.

Ah okay, i think i can get my head around that. Ah yes i understand now. Because of the offset strut holes the strut is pushed back into the body a little bit, which also affects the kingpin angle, which is what causes the positive camber. And if the strut was pushed out, it causes negative camber. Thanks James!

Hey Sam have you had your camber measure? Mine is -1.54 left and -1.39 right. This close to yours?

can i throw a question in here please guys.
im playing around with the ke70 at the moment, which has a RA60 front struts, and bugger all steering lock. cause, different steering arms ~ 15mm longer than the stock units.
just wondering, whats the length of the RA65 powersteering arms you guys are using, as im assuming they will fit this RA60 strut as the ke70 units do not.
dont really feel like spending half a day rolling around at the wreckers seeings as its been piddling down all morning.
    cheers, andrew

~125mm from center of balljoint to center of tie rod end.

Not sure if they will fit the balljoint that you have...

    they fit the balljoint
and yes, 125 mm is about right. non powersteering units are around 145 mm and gave me bugger all lock

only managed to lay my hands on the passengers side one so yet to drive the car, but the lock is much better from what i can tell

    spot the difference

so if anyone has a ra60 drivers side power steering arm up for grabs id love to have it, as it seems many wreckers dont have them

half the wreckers i called didnt even know what i meant when i said steering arms, go figure

and then the wrecker wanted 40 bucks just for the 1!

Not ra60 mate, I'm pretty sure has to be ra65 with power steering. I'm almost certain the ra60 are the same length I 'think'

RA60 and RA65 Powersteering arms are the same, so are SA63 ones. I have a pair of RA65 and SA63 PS arms and they are identical.

I had the same problem when calling around wreckers. I got the...
'huh you want the rack?' "You want to split the rack? cant do that mate"
I dont want to split the dam rack, they are on the bottom of the struts!
"Na mate, sorry can't split the rack"
    GRRR dumb wreckers.
Got that over and over again, even if i was there in person!

I just updated that picture on the first page, with those added measurements just then, so thats alright, your not blind

These are the 2 wheel allignments i could dig up Chris.

The first was stock suspension i think after i had the repairs done. Note i did have KMAC's adj's strut tops. They practically dialled all my camber out as you can see i only have 27 minutes on one side and 20 on the other.

The second was after the GH Sigma arm install. This one baffles me with the camber becuase i told them to just get the camber equal between the sides, not dial it out. But they did dial it ALL out. But on the print-out it shows that they didn't even touch my camber! What a load of bollocks.... My gaurds were scraping on the wheels all the way home. Not going back there again.

Note these were 2 different Bob Jane stores. Just depends on the store that you go to really.
