    You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to tomvale13 again.

    I'm awaiting the for sale thread, it sounds like an awesome engine. Do you have any power figures, video, dyno graphs, even some software simulations? And if it's built for about the price of a cheap wrecked gti-r donk (much less than a 3s-gte) and spins to 14,000rpm i've got cash waiting!

    I'd assume you'd offer a short warranty period on such an engine?

    They have to accrew enough for nose reconstructions as well as feeding his mime family. The dont talk much so they never need much water for their dry mouths.

    I did the maths above and the numbers don't lie. Stan just needs to turn the spanners to bring this bad boy to life.

    I'm sure Stan has discussed this with some mates to confirm his recipe for success too.

    Well maybe he could build a second one for me? If this thing's as tough as it sounds (and your calcs look about right to me) there may be a market up here for a regular supply of these tasmanian specials!

    You should put your e34 motor in your aw11, it makes so much sense.

    why limit your tuning with a powerfc, go a jaycar DFA you get heaps more resolution in tuning EACH INDIVIDUAL MOD.

    Since your going all out with this NA motor dont scimp on management get the DFA.

    Hey guys as for the positive comments thank you and keep them coming but as for the wankers on here that have nothing better to do go back to high school and let the bullys pick on you again...

    Anyway the motor is not built yet and i am awaiting some parts and a little more cash i expect this to not cost me anymore than around 3500 in parts the gtir was going to cost me the same.
    Anyway it is not unheard of the 4age reving in excess of 14000 in race bred engines, oh and as the cams wont kick in and make power till around 6500 im toying with the idea of keeping the sc12 supercharger for low down power...

    Cheers to the positive people...

    Yeah that should stop all those wankers trying to get you down, sounds like you've planned it out a lot better than they first thought! If you've heard of race engines spinning to 14000rpm no reason you can't knock up a reliable streeter for $3500 capable of the same.

    Want to share a few more details on the spec? So the cams have a 7500rpm power band and they kick in at 6500 - did you pick those revs because that's where the gze runs out of puff and you're planning on having the sc12 make grunt up until that point and then have the cams take over?

    Are you going to run ge or gze pistons? Looking forward to seeing this progress!

    Yeah I reckon $3500 should cover it easy, did you factor in new thruskets for that price though?? Not really necessary items but on a high end build it's good peice of mind to do them while you are at it.

    Exactly, I had beige top 4AGE years ago and the hardest part of the whole build was finding a tacho that went past 14000rpm. The rest of the build was pretty straight forward for your typical race bread engine.

    That's a brilliant idea, I don't know why anyone else hasn't thought of that. The SC12 will fill that torque hole that the crazy cams will create. This thing is going to be off-tap!!

    My mate who's knows a guy that builds race bread engines reckons for these types of high rpm race bread engines the best break-in procedure is on the instant it fires up to hold it WOT for 10 min on the limiter, it learns the engine that it will be a high rpm engine.

    You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to YLD-16L again.

    But I got to rep you GT.

    Some great information there guys. It is a bit OT, but do you reckon this could be done with a 1JZ-GTE? I would really like these revs for my next build.

    I did some quick calcs for you Pimpin_1JZ based on a similar $3500 build to stan you could expect to see more power and more revs (obviously).

    4AGE = 4 cylinder

    4 cylinder = 14,000rpm

    14,000/4 = 3,500rpm/cylinder

    1JZ = 6 cylinder

    6 x 3,500 = 21,000rpm

    BUT!!!! The 1JZ is only 4 valve per cylinder.

    4AGE 20v = 5V/cylinder

    5 x 4 = 20V

    14,000/20 = 700rpm/valve

    1JZ = 4V/cylinder

    BUT!!! there are 24 Valves!!!

    24 x 700 = 16,800rpm

    21,000rpm - 16,800rpm = 4,200rpm

    4,200rpm/2 = 2,100rpm

    16,800rpm + 2,100rpm = 18,900rpm

    So from the above calculations based upon a $3500 build with wild cams and heaps of machining you'd expect to see a peak hp rpm of 18,900rpm on a 1JZ.

    I'd suggest following stans idea and using a modest turbo to fill the void between idle and 7500rpm then let the cams work their magic from 7500rpm to 18,900rpm.

    Cheers.

    That sounds fantastic thanks for all your help. Now I have only got 175 lawns to mow at $20 each to get my new engine.

    I am thinking I may need a back brace of some sort at this rev/power level?

    A neck brace for driver and passengers is a good idea.

    Dropping the clutch at 15,000rpm certainly leads to neck snapping action!
