Default Indicators not working :( ...

Hey all , on my Z20 , i have side indicators on the front bar, not the main ones in front but the side ones , A70's have them aswell

all my indicators front and rear work , but these side ones on the front bar do not ...

would it be safe to assume that they are on the same wiring as the fronts / rears ??

Also another odd thing, is that normally when u have an indicator out the remaining ones flash faster ... this is not happening on my z20 ...

Any ideas would be great !!

    cheers...

Have you topped up your indicator fluid recently?

    Sorry, i had to.

Seriously though, make sure all the wiring is hooked up and start checking fuses.

yeah the remaining ones flash faster when a bulb in the circuit is out, this is due to the reduction in resistance across the indicatos circuit as one bulb in no longer operating.

This would definatly point to the bar indicators not being wired in at all. Piggy back them off the nearest indicators, the extra load on the circuit should be fine

    Yes.

    No.
The resistance increases, and the current drops.

The most common cause of a lower current draw while still lighting up properly is... LED indicators... Otherwise you need to check that all your bulbs are their correct rating.

Did you check if they are hooked up?

They should be hooked up to the same circuits, yes.
Have a look at the thread I linked for a typical diagram of the indicator circuits.

Chances are you have too many bulbs hooked up. From memory it should be something like 2 x 21W and 1 x 5W - if there's more total wattage than that, even with a bulb out, it won't flash faster.
Check for everything that's hooked up, checking the wattage of all the bulbs that are flashing. Or keep removing bulbs until it starts flashing faster, though to be honest it's not really a problem that anyone would look for.

    thanks for the help guys,

i think im just going to cut the wires to the side plugs (which holds the globes) and test with a multimeter if there is even any voltage going down the wires ...

Ill trace it back to where i can find voltage and maybe splice them into there ...

Some of you above (excluding mos) musn't have read that the indicators are still flashing at a standard speed, not a faster speed like when you have a globe out ...

also its not fuses or none of the indicators would be working and/or id have other electrical components not working too

Cheers all , updates soon ,
