I picked Ness up for a lift back to her place tis arvo and the first thing she said was 'YUK!' in repsonse to the exposed wires and mess, lol.

What'd she say when it hit boost and went fuknwhoooooshhh1111!!!!eleven!!

Yup, indeed it is. Once i get things in order down here. Work etc. I'll be going on a trip around Tassie with Cam hopefully. Bit of a laid back cruise, go whereever, do some fishing, chill kinda thing. I'll make sure to show my face in Burnie when i do.

Fark yeah sam! the 7m roars again! proud of your achievement, i still got a soft spot for that motor, and i do miss it's low down torque compared to the 1jz :_)

I reckon your conversion was harder then mine for sure.

Well done mate. Well done on the conversion, and well done on writing it up in here. This thread truely shows the amount of work that really goes into an engine conversion, and this one is not even considered a hard one.

Lol, thanks for the comments guys.
It was a little bit harder than i first though. Due to all the little things that cropped up along the way that i didnt really plan for and the few issues that every conversion has.
Lol, yup i did beat you Haison, but you'll have one meanly built 7M when your done though. Good luck with it mate.
Chris, you pansy. I'll beat you anyday! Havnt wound up the boost yet. Sits nicely on 5psi. Going to leave it for a fair while before i boost it up to 10psi. Still getting used to it. The extra power is just like whoa, the corners come up so much quicker. Way faster than the ol 6M Although Chris, the shims need doing again, its got noisy the last couple days... I can't be bothered doing the shims after the conversion, lol. But its got to be done though i spose. I better check the HG Torque while im at it. Then the drags on boy!

glad to see your enjoying it sam, 7m's do rock, 5 psi will feel like nothing compared to 10 pound, mine jumped 40rwkw in that change in boost, heaps more torque too, Enjoy the engine my friend!!! I'll be down at basky this weekend for the drift demo, ill have to come have a look at your beast too!!

OY! my 1jz isn't running right so i need time to get things in order you see. (and that twin turbo hks kit on import bitz, which i probably shouldn't of mentioned, but i'm sure you'll wind up 10psi boost without telling me when we have a drag lol)

Yeah i didn;t have enuf correctly sized shims to do them all, but i got all the ones that had the largest clearances. 1jz is developing a couple valve clearance noises too.

Haha, thats cool. I'll strip it down soon after this weekend and order the shims and fix her up. Have to drive the Vienta again though.... It dosnt have the 'boost kick' yo.
I'm just using a ball bearing valve to wind up the boost. Nothing fancy and i'll have to pop to bonnet to adjust it! Ugh, how annoying
And whats this twin turbo kit you bum! The 1JZ isnt powerful enough? sif...
