G'day all,
I've been planning a 1G conversion in my car for quite some time now, I have Hilux diff, hydro clutch etc, and am keen to do a engine conversion, now I had my sights set on a 1G after being in my brothers 1G corolla he bought off Josh. But in terms of fitting the motor with ease the 1G looks like a really tight fit, and boy does it get hot under the engine bay of a 1G corolla! So what do you all reckon I should go? 1G or 4A? I am at least after 200+ kw. How hard would this be to achieve in a 4A?
Any thoughts or questions would be appreciated.
Brad

Vote 1 1G.
Already turbo. 2 liter 6 cylinder. Less fab work required, able to use the standard ECU.
Why do you want 200kW? Thats a lot for a little Ke35. You'll need good brakes, and suspension if your to use all that power.

I vote 4A. Its taken you 8 years just to make the mounts for that, so changing to a 1G will just set progress back by another 15

Yeha I dunno why I picked 200Kw, just a number I had in my head, and don't worry I have brakes and suspension sorted! Thanks for your opinions Neo!
And Bananaman, what are you talking about lol? I'm confused!

Is it still gonna be a daily?
I vote 4A
still only 4 cyl rego
light enough car that lag shouldn't be that much of a problem if you want 200rwkw.
shouldn't upset the balance of the car front-end-weight wise.
Start with a 4agze so you don't have to go strenthening internals.
To be different, consider 3RZFE
-already a north-south engine
-still only 4 cyls
-2.7Ls to play with.

is the 3rz legal?
I have the 4agte. Its a decent power maker without filling the whole bay up and being a PIA to work on the engine with it still in the bay.
You want a stack of power and want a FMIC sticking out there? Plenty of fabrication but atleast a w5* will bolt up, then go the 1GGTE.
Ah thanks guys! You have a W5x in your KE30 Cuzzo?
Cheers guys,
Brad
