    Default 4agte clutch setups

Hey people what clutch/pressure plate setups you 4agte people running? i am in the hunt for a new clutch/plate and flywheel for my 4agte , Atm my car is pumping out 140kw and theres plenty more to come so i am after setup to handle alot of clutch kicking and big launches for drags... Setup ive got so far is w58 box and 4a bellhousing so i thinking i can run a bigger clutch , its an ae92 afm 4agze.. Ive searched and its mainly fwd setups but would be good to hear from both sides.

    Cheers reece

Im running the AE92 flywheel 212mm (well a chrome-moly one but irrelevant) with a 1200kq pressure plates, a 4 puk cushioned brassbutton from xtreme clutches in adelaide. (ordered through local brake clutch place)

It wasnt cheap but the best one ive used so far. I had an exedy before and cracked that in two.

with arp bolts! get them for cheap insurance
I was running just over 200rwkw soon to be a HEAP more
so far it has been awesome, have not been to drags yet,im sure it will hold no worries just may be a bit hard to get of the line quickly! im looking at doing more hillclimbs/sprints
    it def grips up hard!

I've got a 224mm GZE flywheel with an Exedy 5 puck sprung centre and an 800kg pressure plate. I believe it's been modified from the off the shelf bits, I got it off yogi a few years ago now.
Awesome clutch, good feel & handles the power. Coped with drag launches well.

Im using the 212mm flywheel mated to a c56 box with xtreme heavy duty pressure plateand 4 puck plate. Drives well, handles the turbo fine.

im using a 224 fly with a w58. 5 or a 6 puck clutch. some sort of trd pressure plate, well it has trd stamped on it all modified and put together by linden's (roadrunner) cluch man. so far its been great. havent had it to the drags yet, but its had a decent amount of use and held up. my four puck hd excedy was shit. as soon as the motor made a bit of power it was useless.

    200mm OS giken twinplate

'Cause i'm still running the T50 bellhousing, but with a W58/adaptor plate

I had a brass button first (200mm), it didn't live long at all

Then i had a sprung 'carbotic' clutch, held up to the power fine, was pretty damn agressive though.

What's the twin plate like to drive?
What does it/the flywheel weigh (assuming it comes with a flywheel)?
What sort of power are you putting through it?
And about what are they worth?

    1. Havent got the car on the road since purchasing the clutch, so can't comment.

    2. It seems to have had the usual aftermarket clutch "lightening" done to it, but due to having the additional "towers" (i shall call them that, the bits that hold the clutch plates in alignment), i dont think it would be more than 500g-1kg lighter than stock, i can weigh it you really wish?

    3. I hate to guess before it happens, but 250-300rwkw is the new goal (7AGTE).

    4. New? lots .. i think about ~2000ish, one of the sponsors here will have the exact price. I have a friend in the motherland, so i purchased mine quite a percentage (near new, i think it was about $600?)

Have a 212mm billet lightweight flywheel. 4 puk sprung center, unsure of clamping pressure (was awhile ago). All built by NPC. Would recommend them for clutches.

Holds without slip, have done a few trackdays with it.

I've been thinking about this for a long time, with the current setup I'm aiming for around 140kW at the wheels on the 212mm (I think it is, it's the SP 4AGE) flywheel. I'm trying to find something that'll hold up to a tiny bit of hard driving otherwise being as streetable as possible, keep the pedal effort within reason. I have no idea what combination would work at all if anyone has any suggestions and what costs would be?
