Default W56 box and Low Range 2WD

    lads just a quick q,

i know some gearboxes/transfer cases have a spit when you try to use them in low range 2wd (ie shifted in L4 with front hubs unlocked)

ive got an RZN169R with a W56 (i think) box in it, does anyone have any exerience/issues with using it in Low range 2wd. really just for moving obnoxious trailers etc around.

    thanks.

If its got freewheeling hubs just leave them unlocked for the same result .
If its got ADD then you just switch the vacume line going to the fron diff

yeah ive got manual hubs, i know this will unlock the front no worries but i know some gearboxes like to take a serious dump when you do this with them.

im mostly curious if the hilux box/tcase/diff setup is happy enough being punted in L2 with the front manual hubs unlocked.
